How Our 3D Pet Relief Pendants Are Made: 20 Steps From Photo to Forever
Share
Every pendant we create begins with a single photograph — and a story behind it.
Maybe it's a photo of a golden retriever who spent 12 years greeting you at the door. Maybe it's the last picture you took of a cat who purred in your lap every evening. Maybe it's a snapshot of a puppy who's still very much alive, and you simply want to capture this moment forever.
Whatever the story, our job is to turn that flat, two-dimensional photo into something you can hold in your hand and feel with your fingertips — a three-dimensional sculpture cast in solid bronze or pure silver.

Here's exactly how we do it.
Phase 1: Digital Sculpting (Steps 1–5)
Step 1: Photo Review. When you place your order, you upload a photo of your pet. Our team reviews it for clarity, angle, and lighting. If the photo needs adjustment, we'll reach out within 24 hours to request a better angle.
Step 2: AI-Assisted Base Model. Using advanced 3D modeling software, we generate an initial base sculpture from your pet's photo. AI helps us map the basic proportions — the shape of the head, the position of the ears, the curve of the muzzle.
Step 3: Manual Sculpting. This is where the magic happens. A digital sculptor refines every detail by hand — adjusting the depth of the eyes, the texture of the fur, the exact tilt of your pet's head. This step alone can take 30–60 minutes per pendant.
Step 4: Name Engraving Design. Your pet's name is carefully positioned on the pendant, with letter spacing and font size adjusted to complement the portrait.
Step 5: 3D Preview and Approval. We render the sculpture from multiple angles and send you a preview for approval. You can request one free revision to make sure every detail is perfect before we proceed.
Phase 2: Casting (Steps 6–10)
Step 6: Mold Preparation. Once you approve the design, we prepare a precision mold from the 3D model — either through CNC milling or silicone mold casting, depending on the complexity.
Step 7: Metal Preparation. High-quality brass (for bronze pendants) or 999 pure silver is prepared and heated to the exact melting point required for a clean cast.
Step 8: Precision Casting. The molten metal is poured into the mold under controlled conditions. This step requires experience and precision — too hot and the detail is lost, too cool and the metal won't flow into the finest details.
Step 9: Cooling. The cast piece is allowed to cool gradually to prevent cracking or warping. Rushing this step would compromise the structural integrity of the pendant.
Step 10: Demolding. The raw cast pendant is carefully removed from the mold and inspected for any casting defects.

Phase 3: Finishing (Steps 11–17)
Step 11: Rough Cleanup. Any casting residue, flash lines, or imperfections are removed by hand.
Step 12: Surface Smoothing. The background texture of the pendant is smoothed and refined to create a clean canvas that makes the relief portrait stand out.
Step 13: Detail Sharpening. Using fine tools, our artisans sharpen the edges of the portrait — making the eyes more defined, the fur texture more pronounced, the ears more distinct.
Step 14: Name Engraving. Your pet's name is engraved with precision, ensuring clean, readable letters that will last a lifetime.
Step 15: Border Finishing. The decorative border around the pendant (the heart-shaped pattern you see on our pieces) is cleaned and polished.
Step 16: Patina Treatment. For bronze pendants, we apply an antique patina that gives the piece its warm, aged, classical look — like a coin that's been treasured for generations. For silver pendants, a classic silver finish is applied.
Step 17: Final Polish. The raised surfaces of the portrait are lightly polished to create contrast — the high points catch the light while the recessed areas remain dark, giving the pendant its dramatic, three-dimensional appearance.

Phase 4: Quality Control and Delivery (Steps 18–20)
Step 18: Quality Inspection. Every pendant is inspected against the approved 3D preview. We check the likeness, the engraving, the finish, and the structural integrity. If anything doesn't meet our standards, we redo it.
Step 19: Assembly. The pendant is fitted with a bail (the loop at the top) and paired with your chosen chain — genuine leather cord, 316L stainless steel, or 925 sterling silver.
Step 20: Packaging and Shipping. Your finished pendant is placed in a protective pouch inside a gift-ready box, along with a care guide and a brand card. It's then shipped with free tracking to your door.

Why Every Pendant Is One-of-a-Kind
No two pets are the same — and no two of our pendants are the same. Even if two customers ordered pendants of the same breed, the result would be completely different, because each one is sculpted from a unique photograph of a unique animal.
This isn't a template. It's not a filter. It's not a mass-produced product with your pet's photo printed on it.
It's a sculpture. Made for you. Made for them.
